SKINVIVE by JUVÉDERM for Cheek Smoothness & Neck Lines

Current FDA indication

In June 2026, the FDA approved updated SKINVIVE labeling that includes intradermal injection to improve cheek skin smoothness and intradermal and/or subdermal injection to reduce neck lines for improvement of neck appearance in adults over age 21.

That distinction matters: SKINVIVE is not positioned as a traditional structural cheek or jawline filler. Treatment planning focuses on the approved skin-quality goals, treatment area, candidacy and the amount of product appropriate for the individual.

What recovery can look like

FDA patient labeling for neck treatment describes temporary injection-site reactions such as redness, bruising, tenderness, lumps or bumps, swelling, firmness, pain, discoloration and itching. The labeling advises avoiding makeup for 12 hours and minimizing strenuous exercise, extensive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages during the first 24 hours.

Safety matters

As with other injectable hyaluronic-acid products, unintentional injection into a blood vessel can cause serious complications. Patients should seek immediate medical attention for vision changes, stroke-like symptoms, white or unusually discolored skin, or unusual/severe pain during or shortly after treatment.
