SKINVIVE & Skin Booster Aftercare

Small bumps, redness, tenderness, bruising, swelling, firmness or itching can occur after superficial injectable skin-quality treatments. Product-specific instructions take priority because “skin booster” can refer to very different products.

Quick recovery priorities

Follow the instructions for the exact product, device and treatment area you received.
Keep treated sites clean and avoid unnecessary rubbing, picking or pressure.

If you received SKINVIVE by JUVÉDERM

The FDA indication now includes intradermal injection for cheek skin smoothness and intradermal and/or subdermal injection to reduce neck lines for improvement of neck appearance in adults over 21.
The 2026 FDA patient labeling for neck treatment advises avoiding makeup for 12 hours after treatment and minimizing strenuous exercise, extensive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages during the first 24 hours.
In the neck clinical study, common temporary injection-site effects included redness, bruising, tenderness, lumps/bumps, swelling, firmness, pain, discoloration and itching. Many resolved within two weeks, although some effects can last longer.

General injection-site care

Keep the skin clean and treat injection sites gently.
Avoid vigorous massage, facial devices, scrubs and irritating active skin care until tenderness and visible irritation have settled, unless your product-specific instructions say otherwise.
A cloth-wrapped cold pack may be used briefly for ordinary swelling. Do not apply ice directly to the skin.

Call THCB promptly

Pain, redness, heat or swelling that is worsening rather than improving.
Drainage, an open sore, increasing nodules, significant rash or another unexpected reaction.
After SKINVIVE or another HA-based injectable, significant pain away from the injection site, redness/swelling lasting more than a few days, or a new reaction weeks or months later.

Get urgent medical help now if you notice

Any vision change, severe unusual pain, white/gray/blue or mottled skin, or neurologic symptoms after an HA/filler-like injectable product.
Difficulty breathing or another sign of a severe allergic reaction.

If you have trouble breathing, signs of stroke, sudden vision loss/change, or another potentially life-threatening symptom, call 911 or seek emergency care rather than waiting for an app response.
